Around a year ago, my sister-in-law gave me a journal in a jar. The jar is filled with questions to challenge your relationship with Christ.

I Love God Most When...
... I draw. I love to draw anything. It doesn't matter if it's a five year old version I can draw in a couple seconds or a masterpiece. IT MAKES ME HAPPY. When I am drawing, the rest of the world disappears. I can easily connect with God because I can't hear anything. I love to draw hands. with them we praise God and we disappoint God. I think art helps me to love God because I remember who the greatest artist is. God is the most inspirational artist. He created the whole world. Everything I can create is a symbol of something he created. He is the one who gave me the ideas behind all my artwork. He used many people in my life to show me how he can work.

Did you have a favorite subject in School? What is your favorite subject with God?
My favorite subject in elementary school was Science. At first, this was a really complicated concept for me. Then, I had a good teacher show me that Science was everywhere. Science was not just a bunch of technical terms. Static Electricity was what happened when the cat rubbed his fur against the carpet. The greenhouse effect was what happened in the car during the summer.
Then in middle school, I found another subject to love the same way I found Science. I loved art class. Art is everywhere too. Art is not just what we create. It is the beauty of what God has created. I see Art in a beautiful sunset, or the waves of the ocean.
Just like in school, I have two favorite subjects with God. God gave the two main subjects of Judgement and Grace. Judgement sounds like a strange favorite topic, but you cannot have Grace without judgement. Judgement means we have screwed up a lot. Grace is God loving us anyways. He loved us enough to send his one perfect child to die.

How has God Shown his Love for me lately?
God shows his love by surrounding me with people who love me. No matter what happens in my life, I know he will show me who really loves me for me. It can be the most painful thing when God shows you who you truly need in your life, but he has your heart on his mind. He will open unexpected doors, and show you the best path for your life if it is your time, and if it is your desire. Once you see his love, you will love him back. He will use things you did not even know you had in you.

What is my God-given purpose in life?
This is a question I've been struggling with a lot lately. One thing I know is we were all put on this earth to serve him. All my life, I've been surrounded by people who tell me, "God has a plan for your life." It took me a while to believe it, but it's true. Personally, it is easy for me to serve him by serving other. We would all be better off if we all remembered our purpose was to serve him.

Why did God create me?
To start out with, I'll give you the cheesy Sunday School answer. He created me, because he had a plan for my life. To be honest with you, there was a time where I believed that in my head, but not my heart. I had a lot of hard times. I knew in my head it was true, because so many people were telling me it was annoying!!! In my heart, I just felt like a major loser!!
God created me to fill a purpose noone else could fill. One thing I've always known in my heart was God doesn't make mistakes. Sometimes, I wonder what God was thinking when he created me, but he loves me and takes me as I am when noone else does. Think about that!!! The perfect creator of this world loves a clumsy, crazy artist for who she is, and he sees a beautiful picture of what her life can be.
He loves all of his creations. All of them were put on this earth to glorify him. He planned every step you would take before time existed.
